Aux jours de l’empereur Trajan, il y avait un homme, général, qui s’appelait Placide, de la famille noble et renommée de César; il était très riche, plus que tous les sénateurs, en villages, en or et en argent. 1

Ayant été jetés dans ce taureau de bronze rendu resplendissant comme une émeraude par sa chaleur, ils confièrent en paix leurs esprits au Christ et cet instrument de supplice fut pour eux une tombe. Le couronnement des martyrs eut lieu le 24 Éloul. Ces saints martyrs furent couronnés en Jésus-Christ, à qui… Amen. 1
