"ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܬܘܠܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܒܐܠܟܣܢܕܪܝܐ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܚܙܬܗ ܘܫܘܦܪܗ ܡܬܗܪ ܗܘܐ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܚܙ̈ܝܗ."1 "Il y avait dans la ville d’Alexandrie une vierge dont l’apparence et la beauté étaient sujet d’admiration pour tous ceux qui la voyaient."1
