“ܒܫܢܬ ܡܐܬܝ̈ܢ ܘܬܫ̈ܥܝܢ ܘܚܡܫ ܒܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܓܘܣܛܘܣ ܕܐܡܠܟ ܒܪ̈ܗܘܡܐ ܓܘܪܕܝܢܘܣ ܡܢ ܣܘܢܩܠܛܘܣ ܕܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܙܟܝܐ ܘܓܒܪܐ ܪܒܐ ܗܘܐ ܘܡܫܡܗܐ.”1 “L’an 295 du règne d’Auguste alors que régnait à Rome Gordien, il y avait dans le sénat de la ville un homme pur, noble et renommé.”1
