“ܟܕ ܓܝܪ ܐܚܝܕܐ ܗܘܬ ܛܥܝܘܬܐ ܕܚܢ̈ܦܐ ܒܒܢܝ̈ܢܫܐ. ܘܕܒܚ̈ܐ ܘܩܘܪ̈ܒܢܐ ܡܩܪܒܝܢ ܠܨܠܡ̈ܐ ܡܝ̈ܬܐ ܘܦܬܟܪ̈ܐ ܚܪ̈ܫܐ ܒܟܠܕܘܟ ܘܒܟܠ ܐܬܪ ܡܢ ܐܝܕ̈ܝ ܚܢ̈ܦܐ ܒܢ̈ܝ ܐܒܕܢܐ ܡܬܩܪܝܢ ܗܘܘ. ܒܙܒܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܿܘ ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܒܢܝܩܕܘܡܝܐ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܫܡܗ ܐܠܘܣܢܘܣ.”1 “Alors que l’erreur des païens était puissante chez les hommes et qu’ils offraient des sacrifices et des offrandes à des images mortes et que des idoles muettes partout et en tout lieu étaient invoquées per les païens, fils de perdition, en ce temps là il y avait dans la ville de Nicomédie un homme qui s’appelait Alosanos.”1

“ܘܐܬܐ ܠܗܿ ܩܠܐ ܟܠܡܕܡ ܕܫܐܠܬܝ ܐܘ ܐܡܬܝ ܡܬܝܗܒ ܠܟ ܘܗܝ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܪܬ ܠܩܛܘ̈ܠܐ ܠܐ ܡܝܬܢܐ ܣܛܪ ܡܢ ܣܝܦܐ. ܟܠܠܘܗܿ ܒܣܝܦܐ ܘܫܘܟܠܠܐ ܕܝܢ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܣܗ̈ܕܐ ܩܕܝ̈ܫܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܠܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܐ... ܐܡܝܢ.”1 “Et lui vint une voix: «Tout ce que tu as demandé, ma servante, te sera donné.» Et elle dit aux bourreaux: «Je ne mourrai que par le le glaive.» Et ils la couronnèrent par le glaive. Le couronnement de tous les martyrs est advenu pour la gloire de Dieu le Père… Amen.”1
