"ܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܝܚܝܕܝܐ ܚܕ ܕܥܿܡܪ ܗܘܐ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܕܫܡܗ ܗܘܐ ܡܪܝ ܛܢܝܢܐ. ܘܥܡܿܠ ܗܘܐ ܥܡ̈ܠܐ ܪܘܪ̈ܒܐ. ܘܐܬܘ̈ܬܐ ܣܓܝܐ̈ܬܐ ܣܥܿܪ ܗܘܐ ܡܪܢ ܒܐܝܕܘ̈ܗܝ."1 "Il y avait un solitaire qui demeurait au désert et qui s’appelait Mâr Tnînâ. Il subissait de grande peines et notre Seigneur accomplissait beaucoup de signes par son intermédiaire."1
