“ܚܒܝ̈ܒܝ ܗܢܐ ܡܪܝ ܒܒܝ ܕܐܫܬܘܕܝ ܠܕܘܒܪܐ ܐܠܗܝܐ. ܒܓܢܣܗ ܡܢ ܢܨܝܒܝܢ ܕܒܝܬ ܬܚܘ̈ܡܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ.̣ ܡܢ ܒ̈ܢܝ ܦܪ̈ܣܝܐ ܕܒܗܿ. ܗܿܢܘܢ ܕܐܝܬܝ ܫܒܘܪ ܠܗܿ ܠܢܨܝܒܝܢ.” 1
“Mes bien-aimés, ce Mâr Babay qui professa la vie divine, était par sa famille de la ville frontalière de Nisibe, issu des Perses de l’endroit que Shabour avait amenés à Nisibe.” 1
