ܚܒ̈ܝܒܝ: ܡܛܠ ܕܠܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ: ܗܠܝܢ ܕܒܢ̈ܝܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܟܝܬ ܐܝܬܝܗܘܢ: ܡܬܗܪ̈ܢ ܓܝܪ ܬܫܥܝ̈ܬܐ ܡܠܝܬ ܣܘ̈ܟܠܐ ܐܠܗ̈ܝܐ: ܗܠܝܢ ܕܡܢ ܣܗ̈ܕܐ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܠܢ ܡܬܟܪ̈ܙܢ ܐܝܟܢܐ ܕܢܕܥ ܚܢܢ ܡ̈ܗܝܡܢܐ ܐܘܪܚܐ ܐܠܝܨܬܐ ܘܩܛܝܢܬܐ ܐܝܕܐ ܕܡܢܗ ܚ̈ܝܐ ܗܢܘܢ ܕܠܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܡܘܒܠܝܢ ܘܡܣܩܝܢ. 1
Bien-aimés, puisque beaucoup, je veux dire ceux qui sont fils de Dieu, admirent les histoires pleines de pensées divines, celles des martyrs du Christ nous sont proclamées pou que nous, fidèles, nous connaissions le chemin resserré et étroit source de la vie qui conduit et élève au Royaume. 1

ܫܡܗ ܕܝܢ ܡܪܝ ܕܒܝܬ ܣܗ̈ܕܐ: ܗܢܐ ܕܡܢ ܣܓܝܘܬܐ ܕܥܡ̈ܠܘܗܝ ܐܦ ܕܐܓ̈ܘܢܘܗܝ ܠܘ ܒܫܡܐ ܕܚܕ ܣܗܕܐ ܡܫܬܡܗ ܐܠܐ ܒܫܡܐ ܕܣ̈ܗܕܐ ܣ̈ܓܝܐܐ. 1
Son nom était Mârî de Beyt-Sahdé, lui qui de par le grand nombre de ses peines et des ses combats ne fut pas appelé du nom d’un seul martyr mais du nom de plusieurs martyrs. 1

Son couronnement eut lieu le dix novembre et il partit tourmenté de ce monde, portant la couronne de ses exploits vers la belle demeure du ciel. Que par les prières de Mârî de Beyt-Sahdé la miséricorde soit sur la terre… et une bénédiction abondante… 1
