ܡܛܝܒ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܫܬܥܐ ܩܕܡܝܟܘܢ ܐܘ ܪ̈ܚܡܝ ܠܡܫܝܚܐ ܘܐܘܕܥܟܘܢ ܢܟܠܐ: ܕܒܦܪܨܘܦܗ ܐܫܬܡܫ ܡܢ ܐܝܕ̈ܝ ܡܕܒܪ̈ܢܐ ܕܪ̈ܗܘܡܝܐ: ܐܦ ܐܦܣܩܘ̈ܦܐ ܡܚܫ̈ܝ ܠܐܠܗܐ. 1
Je m’apprête à raconter devant vous, amis du Christ, et à vous apprendre la tromperie qui a été accomplie dans sa personne des mains des dirigeants des Romains et des évêques théopaschites. 1

ܗܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܛܘܒܢܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܐ ܕܓܪܡܢܝܩܝܐ. ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܗܘ ܐܬܪܐ ܠܐܦ̈ܝ ܩܦܘܕܩܝܐ. ܩܪܝܬܗ ܕܝܢ ܫܡܗܿ ܗܢܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܡܪܥܫ ܒܠܫܢܐ ܣܘܪܝܝܐ: ܐܝܕܐ ܕܦܪܙܠܐ ܡܢܗܿ ܢܿܦܩ ܠܟܠܗ ܐܬܪܐ ܕܪ̈ܗܘܡܝܐ. 1
Ce bienheureux était du pays de Germanicia, pays situé du côté de la Cappadoce — le nom de son village est Mar’ash en langue syriaque, là d’où sort le fer pour tout le pays des Romains. 1

Alors les évêques des Romains se réunirent et ils firent un examen et établirent la foi qu’il tiennent aujourd’hui; les Romains changèrent un peu par rapport avec la foi antérieure. 1
