ܐܡܬܝ ܕܠܢܚܫܝܪ̈ܬܢܐ ܚܙܐ ܐܢܐ܇ ܕܠܩܘܠܣ̈ܐ ܘܠܟ̈ܠܝܠܐ ܘܠܩܝ̈ܡܬܐ ܡܫܬܘܝܢ܇ ܬܘܒ ܕܝܢ ܘܠܕܘܟܪܢܐ ܗܘ ܠܐ ܡܬܠܚܝܢܐ܇ 1
Quand je vois les soldats jugés dignes d’éloges, de couronnes et de statues, et d’un souvenir ineffaçable — rien de ce qu’ils ont bien fait n’est tu — je bondis au-dessus de ma mesure. 1

Et qu’il dise avec le Pharisien: «Me voici avec les enfants que Dieu m’a donnés.» Quant à moi, pour ma peine, je demande, ô Père, une aide qui vainque ma négligence, qui prépare ma sortie d’ici et me donne une bonne justification devant le tribunal du Christ; à qui gloire pour les siècles. Amen. 1
