“ܒܬܪܗ ܕܝܢ ܕܗܢܐ ܐܬܠܝܛܐ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܘܐ ܪܫܐ ܠܟܪ̈ܣܛܝܢܐ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܡܪܝ ܐܝܣܚܩ ܓܒܪܐ ܛܢܢܐ ܘܢܟܦܐ ܗܘܿ ܕܒܕܡܘܬ ܐܝܣܚܩ ܐܬܩܪܒ ܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܚܐ ܚܝܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ.” 1
“Après cet athlète du Christ, le chef des nombreux chrétiens qu’il y avait fut Mar Isaac, homme zélé et modeste, qui fut offert comme sacrifice vivant au Seigneur à l’instar d’Isaac.” 1
