"ܒܬܪܗ ܕܝܢ ܕܗܢܐ ܐܬܠܝܛܐ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ ܗܘܐ ܪܫܐ ܠܟܪ̈ܣܛܝܢܐ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܐ ܕܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܡܪܝ ܐܝܣܚܩ ܓܒܪܐ ܛܢܢܐ ܘܢܟܦܐ ܗܘܿ ܕܒܕܡܘܬ ܐܝܣܚܩ ܐܬܩܪܒ ܗܘܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܒܚܐ ܚܝܐ ܠܡܪܝܐ."1 "Après cet athlète du Christ, le chef des nombreux chrétiens qu’il y avait fut Mar Isaac, homme zélé et modeste, qui fut offert comme sacrifice vivant au Seigneur à l’instar d’Isaac."1
