“ܪܒ ܗܘ ܒܫܪܪܐ ܕܘܒܪܐ ܕܝܚܝܕܝܘܬܐ: ܡܢ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܥܒܝܕ̈ܐ ܡܪܕܐ ܪܒܘܬܗ.” 1
“Grande est en vérité la vie monastique: sa grandeur se soustrait à la parole des créatures.” 1

“ܒܓܢܣܗ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܡܢ ܚܕܬܐ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܩܝܪܐ: ܘܡܛܠ ܕܒܝܬ ܡܫܪܝܐ ܕܝܚܝܕ̈ܝܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܒܝܬ ܐܒܗ̈ܘܗܝ: ܘܒܝܕ ܨܠܘ̈ܬܗܘܢ ܝܗܒ ܠܗܘܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܗܢܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܕܒܘܪ̈ܟܬܐ.” 1
“Par sa famille, il était de la ville de Hdattâ dans le Beyt Qîrâ, et parce que la maison de ses parents était une hôtellerie de moines, à leur prière Dieu leur donna ce fruit de bénédictions.” 1

“Il mourut à l’âge de cent ans moins un. Il sortit du monde à l’âge de treize ans et il fut trente-trois ans dans le pays des Daylamites, trente ans dans le monastère de Beyt Abé et vingt-trois ans avec son maître Santâ. Que sa prière soit avec nous. Amen.” 1
