ܗܘ ܚܕܬܗ ܗܘܐ ܠܗܕܐ ܕܝܪܐ ܘܚܣܢܐ ܕܒܢܝܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܡܠܟܐ ܪܘܡܝܐ ܠܒܢܘ̈ܗܝ ܕܒܢܐ ܒܗ ܥܕܬܐ.1 Celui-ci rénova ce monastère et la forteresse qu’avait construits l’empereur romain pour ses enfants, où il a avait construit une église.1

ܘܐܝܬ ܒܗ ܬܠܬ ܥܕ̈ܬܐ ܡܪܬܝ ܫܡܘܢܝ ܠܨܝܕ ܡܐܪܕܝܢ ܘܡܪܝ ܓܘܪܓܝܣ ܠܥܠ ܡܢ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܠܡܥܪܒܐ ܘܡܪܝ ܐܝܘܐܢܝܣ ܠܘܬ ܡܕܢܚܐ ܘܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܒܗ ܐܠܦܐ ܒܬܝ̈ܢ.1 Et il y avait trois églises, Sainte-Shmounî du côté de Mardîn, Saint-Georges à l’ouest du village et Saint-Jean à l’est et il y avait mille cellules.1
