“ܐܰܬܪܐ ܗܘ ܕܥܰܠ ܢܗܰܪ ܢܒܘܪܐܝܟܐ ܕܢܳܣܶܟ ܒܰܦܪܳܬ. ܚܪܶܒ ܘܐܝܬ ܒܕܘܟܬܗ ܩܪܝܬܳܐ ܕܡܶܬܐܡܰܪ ܠܳܗ̇ ܐܰܒܘܣܰܪܰܐܝ (ܒܨܝܪܗ̈) ”2
“بلد على نهر الخابور عند مصبه في الفرات خرب وفي موضعه قرية ابو سراي (بصيرة).”3
A city at the confluence of the Euphrates and the Khabur rivers.
