ܒܰܫܡܳܐ ܕܡܳܪܝ ܫܰܒܛܝ ܚܰܕ ܡܢ ܟܦܰܪ ܫܳܡܰܥ. ܥܰܗܕܗ ܥܢܘܳܝ̈ܐ ܕܕܳܪܳܐ ܚܡܝܫܳܝܐ ܠܘܩܒܰܠ ܕܰܝܪܳܐ ܕܡܳܪܝ ܐܰܒܚܝ ܘܰܒܩܘܪܒܳܐ ܕܕܰܝܪܐ ܕܦܳܣܩܝܢ ܕܰܒܓܰܪܓܰܪ. ܚܰܕܶܬ ܠܒܶܢܝܳܢܗ ܐܰܬܰܢܐܣܝܘܣ ܕܰܢܚܳܐ ܡܝܛܪܘܦܘܠܝܛܳܐ ܕܐܘܪܗܳܝ 1171 . 1191. ܘܒܗ ܥܡܰܪ ܝܘܚܰܢܢ ܕܰܬܪܶܥܣܰܪ ܒܕܰܝܪܳܝܘܬܗ ܘܒܗ ܐܶܬܬܣܪܰܚ ܦܰܛܪܝܰܪܟܐ ܘܩܰܘܝ̣ ܥܰܡܝ̣ܪ ܥܕܰܡܐ ܠܫܘܪܳܝܳܐ ܕܡܰܐܬܐ ܫܒܰܥܣܝܪܳܝܬܐ.1
باسم مار شبطاي من نساك القرن الخامس، ازآء دير مار ابحاي وبقرب دير فسقين في كركر جدد عمارته اثناسيوس دنحا مطران الرها 1171-1191 وفيه اقام يوحنا الثاني عشر في رهبنته وفيه رسم بطريركاً، وظل عامراً حتى اوائل المئة السابعة عشرة2
was built in the name of St. Shabtai, a fifth-century ascetic, opposite the Monastery of Mor Abḥai, near the Monastery of Fusqīn in Karkar. It was restored by Athanasius Denḥa, metropolitan of Edessa (1171-1191). While a monk, Patriarch John XII resided in this monastery and in it he was consecrated Patriarch, it remained populated until the beginning of the seventeenth century.3

Notes

In Dolabani's translation of Barsoum's description ܕܰܢܚܳܐ should read ܕܶܢܚܳܐ and "1171 . 1191" should read "1171 - 1191".
