Jacob the Notary - ܝܥܩܘܒ ܢܘܛܪܐ

Jacob the notary was of Greek origin, but he became the secretary for the Persian shah. He was forced into hard labor for refusing to abjure his Christian faith. He was cut up little by little, his fingers, hands, feet, and finally head. His relics were collected by Christians.
