In hagiography: Aḥa the solitary of Resh ʿAyna was a soldier in the Persian army; later he founded a monastery near Nisibis, traveled on extensive pilgrimages, and returned with a piece of the true cross. He converted a village of pagan Armenians. A Chaldean copy from 1903 of the legend of Aḥḥa, according to the codex Vat. xxxvn, belongs to the library of the Couvent de Notre Dame des Moissons today in Baghdad. 4
