ܗܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܪܣܡܝܐ ܐܦܣܩܘܦܐ ܬܠܡܕܗ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܠܫܪܒܝܠ ܟܘܡܪܐ. ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܕܝܢ ܒܝܘ̈ܡܝ ܒܝܢܘܣ ܐܦܣܩܘܦܐ ܕܪܗܘܡܐ ܗܿܘ ܕܒܝܘܡ̈ܘܗܝ ܟܢܫܬ ܗܘܬ ܟܘܠܗܿ ܐܢܫܘܬܐ ܕܪܗܘܡܐ. 1
Cet évêque Barsamyâ avait enseigné le prêtre des idoles Sharbêl. Mais il vivait aux jours de Binus, évêque de Rome, aux jours duquel tous les hommes de Rome se rassemblèrent. 1

Et les païens aussi crièrent et ils lui disaient: «Nous renonçons aux statues et aux idoles sans utilité; et nous, nous croyons en Jésus le Roi, Fils de Dieu, lui qui est venu et qui reviendra»; et s’il y avait d’autres doctrines à Rome et dans toute l’Italie, eux aussi renonçaient à leurs doctrines, comme les païens avaient renoncé et croyaient dans l’annonce des apôtres proclamée dans l’Église. 1
