"ܒܫܢܬ ܬܠܬܡܐܐ ܘܐܪ̈ܒܥܝܢ ܘܬܠܬ ܠܡܠܟܘܬܐ ܕܝܘ̈ܢܝܐ. ܘܒܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܢ ܛܝܒܪܝܣ ܩܣܪ ܪܗܘܡܝܐ: ܘܒܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܐܒܓܪ ܡܠܟܐ ܒܪ ܡܥܢܘ ܡܠܟܐ: ܒܐܝܪܚ ܬܫܪܝ ܩܕܡ ܒܝܘܡ ܬܪ̈ܥܣܪ̣. ܫܕܪ ܗܘܐ ܐܒܓܪ ܐܘܟܡܐ ܠܡܪܝܗܒ ܘܠܫܡܫܓܪܡ. ܪ̈ܫܢܐ ܘܡܝܩܪ̈ܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܗ. ܘܠܚܿܢܢ ܛܒܘܠܪܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܥܡܗܘܢ."1 "En l’an 343 du règne des Grecs, sous le règne de notre seigneur Tibère, césar de Rome, et sous le règne du roi Abgar fils du roi Ma‘nou, au mois de Teshrî I, le douzième jour, Abgar le Noir envoya Maryahb et Shmeshgram, nobles honorables de son royaume et avec eux l’archiviste fidèle Hanan."1
