Glorifions Dieu et remercions-le de toute notre âme parce qu’il nous a sauvés des mains des barbares selon sa miséricorde… Or moi, Ammonios, je suis retourné en Égypte, et avec moi toutes ces choses écrites vraiment sur parchemin… et à tout moment je glorifiais Dieu le Père tout-puissant; à lui… Amen. Moi, Jean, j’ai trouvé cela grâce à la miséricorde de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ auprès du solitaire Taros aux environs de Naucratis, écrit en langue égyptienne… Que notre Seigneur Jésus nous donne part avec eux tous à son royaume.
