"ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ ܕܝܢ ܥܡ ܐ̈ܚܐ ܛܘܒ̈ܢܐ ܗܘ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܝܘܚܢܢ̣. ܟܕ ܚܿܕܐ ܘܪܘܿܙ ܒܡܪܝܐ. ܠܒܬܪܗ ܕܝܢ ܕܝܘܡܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܚܕܒܫܒܐ̣. ܟܕ ܟܢܝܫܝܢ ܗܘܘ ܐܚ̈ܐ̣ ܫܪܝ ܠܡܐܡܪ. ܐܚ̈ܝ ܘܟܢ̈ܘܬܝ: ܘܒ̈ܢܝ ܝܪܬܘܬܐ ܘܫܘܬܦܘܬܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܡܫܝܚܐ̣. ܝܕܿܥܝܢ ܐܢܬܘܢ ܕܟܡܐ ܝܗܒ ܠܟܘܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܒܐܝ̈ܕܝ."1 "Le bienheureux saint Jean était donc avec les frères, joyeux et réjoui dans le Seigneur.
