“ܛܘܒܢܐ ܒܣܝܠܝܣ ܐܦܣܩܘܦܐ ܕܩܣܪܝܐ: ܗܿܘ ܕܟܘܟܒܐ ܩܦܘܕܩܝܐ ܐܫܬܡܗ̣. ܒܛܘܗܡܗ ܒܪ ܐܢܫ̈ܐ ܝܕܝ̈ܥܐ ܕܒܥܘܬܪܐ ܟܗ̈ܝܢܝܢ ܗܘܘ. ܘܡܢ ܓܢܣܐ ܡܝܩܪܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ.” 1
“Le bienheureux Basile, évêque de Césarée, appelé étoile cappadocienne, était par sa famille fils de gens célèbres et abondants en richesses, et il était honorable par la race.” 1
