"ܡܢܐ ܗܘ ܗܿܘ ܕܢܩܠܣ ܐܢܫ ܡܢ ܛܒ̈ܬܐ. ܐܢܗܘ ܕܚܢܢ ܠܐ ܢܩܠܣ ܠܫܡܥܘܢ ܗܿܘ ܙܕܝܩܐ. ܐܠܐ ܠܫܦܝܪܬܐ ܗܿܝ ܕܟܠܗ ܗܢܐ ܒܫܬܩܐ ܢܥܒܪ."1 "Quelles qualités louerait-on si nous ne louions pas Syméon le juste? Mais une si grande beauté pourrions-nous la passer sous silence?"1
