                    Il y avait encore un bienheureux aimé de Dieu, travailleur et humble et un naziréen parfait, Paul l’anachorète, qui provenait du pays de Sophanène.
                
                
                    ܘܟܠ ܐܝܟܐ ܕܢܗܘܐ ܩܡܨܐ: ܐܘ ܒܪܕܐ ܐܘ ܫܘܒܐ ܐܘ ܟܐܒܐ ܕܫܘܚܢܐ: ܘܐܙܠܐ ܗܘܬ ܝܡܝܢܗ ܐܘ ܪܝܫܗ̣. ܒܥܓܠ ܐܠܗܐ ܦܘܪܩܢܐ ܥܒܿܕ ܗܘܐ. ܕܒܨ̈ܠܘܬܗ ܥܡ ܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܩ̈ܕܝܫܐ̣. ܥܠ ܟܘܠܢ ܚ̈ܛܝܐ ܪ̈ܚܡܐ ܢܗܘܘܢ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܕܕܝܢܐ.
                
                
                    Et partout où il y avait des sauterelles ou de la grêle ou un vent brûlant ou la maladie des ulcères, là où allait sa main droite ou sa tête, aussitôt Dieu donnait le salut.
