ܟܕ ܐܙܿܠܝܢ ܗܘܝܢ ܕܝܢ ܒܡܕܒܪܐ ܒܥܕܢܐ ܕܛܗܪܐ ܡܢ ܫܠܝܐ̣. ܚܙܝܢ ܚܢܢ ܓܫܦܐ ܚܕ ܕܬܢܝܢܐ ܪܒܐ.
En marchant dans le désert au moment de midi, nous vîmes soudain la trace d’un grand dragon.
ܘܡܛܠ ܗܕܐ ܗܟܝܠ ܐܬܓܪܓ ܗܘܐ ܛܘܒܢܐ. ܘܐܙ̣ܠ ܗܘܐ ܘܩܛܠܗ ܠܬܢܝܢܐ ܗܿܘ܀ ܘܟܠ ܕܚܙܘ ܐܘ ܫܡܥܘ ܝܗܒܘ ܬܫܒܘܚܬܐ ܠܐܠܗܐ.
Et c’est pourquoi le bienheureux fut excité et il alla tuer ce dragon. Et tous ceux qui virent ou entendirent rendirent gloire à Dieu.
