"ܥܡܘܕܐ ܪܒܐ ܕܥܕܬܐ ܘܡܠܦܢܐ ܫܪܝܪܐ ܕܟܠܗܿ ܬܒܝܠ ܣܐܘܝܪܐ ܚܟܝܡܐ̣. ܘܡܢ ܒܬܪ ܥܘܢܕܢܗ ܒܝܕ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܐܟܬܒ ܡܠܦ ܠܢ."1 "Le grand pilier de l’Église et docteur véritable du monde entier, le sage Sévère, même après sa mort, nous instruit par ce qu’il a écrit."1
