“ܡܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܐܬܝܬ ܠܘܬܢ. ܐܘ ܪܚܡܐ ܘܚܒܪܐ. ܡܢ ܐܣܛܘܐ ܡܠܟܝܐ ܐܘ ܬܡܝܗܐ: ܐܬܝܬ ܕܝܢ ܥܕܡܐ ܠܘܬܟ̣. ܟܕ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܠܦ ܡܛܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܕܨܒܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܫܐܠܟ.” 1
“D’où viens-tu vers nous, âmi et compagnon? De la stoa royale, homme admirable, je suis venu jusqu’à toi en désirant m’instruire à propos de ce que je veux te demander.” 1

“Sévère était de race pisidienne; sa ville était Sozopolis. Celle-ci en, en effet, lui échut après la première dont nous sommes tous tombés après la transgression d’Adam.” 1
