                    ܘܗܘܐ ܗܘܐ ܒܫܢܬܐ ܩܕܡܝܬܐ ܕܫܒܥ ܫ̈ܢܝܢ ܕܣܒܥܐ: ܒܚܡܫܬܐ ܒܝܪܚܐ ܕܬܪܝܢ. ܫܕܪ ܦܪܥܘܢ ܠܝܘܣܦ ܕܢܬܟܪܟ ܒܟܠܗܿ ܐܪܥܐ ܕܡܨܪܝܢ.
                
                
                    Et il advint la première des sept années d’abondance, le cinq du deuxième mois, Pharaon envoya Joseph faire le tour de toute la terre d’Égypte.
                
                
                    ܘܝܘܣܦ ܐܓܥܠ ܬܓܐ ܠܒܪ ܒܪܗ ܕܦܪܥܘܢ. ܗܘܿ ܕܝܢܩ ܗܘܐ ܟܕ ܡܝܬ ܦܪܥܘܢ. ܘܝܘܣܦ ܐܝܟ ܐܒܘܗܝ ܕܛܠܝܐ ܒܡܨܪܝܢ ܟܠ ܝܘ̈ܡܝ ܚܝ̈ܘܗܝ܀
                
                
                    Et Joseph confia la couronne au petit-fils de Pharaon, qui était à la mamelle quand mourut Pharaon; et Joseph fut comme le père de l’enfant en Égypte tous les jours de sa vie.
