“ܗܘܐ ܒܙܒܢ ܩܪܒܐ ܕܙܢܝܘܬܐ ܥܡ ܐܚܐ ܚܕ: ܘܓܕܫ ܘܥܒܪ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܒܩܪܝܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܒܡܨܪܝܢ: ܘܚܙܐ ܒܪܬܗ ܕܟܘܡܪܐ ܚܕ ܕܚܢ̈ܦܐ ܘܐܚܒܗܿ.” 1
“Un frère eut fut confronté fois à une guerre contre la débauche; et il arriva qu’il passa dans un village d’Égypte, et il vit la fille d’un prêtre païen et il l’aima.” 1
