                    ܚܒܝ̈ܒܝ: ܐܝܬ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܓܒܪܐ ܚܕ ܕܫܡܗ ܬܐܘܕܘܛܘܣ: ܘܐܢܬܬܗ ܫܡܗܿ ܪܘܦܝܢܐ. ܡܚܒܝܢ ܗܘ̣ܘ ܠܡܫܝܚܐ ܡܢ ܟܠ ܠܒܗܘܢ: ܘܡܦܠܓܝܢ ܗܘ̣ܘ ܠܡܣ̈ܟܢܐ ܘܠܝܬܡ̈ܐ ܘܠܨܪ̈ܝܟܐ.
                
                
                    Mes bien-aimés, il y avait un homme du nom de Théodote et sa femme s’appelait Rufine. Ils aimaient le Christ de tout leur coeur et ils partageaient avec les pauvres, les orphelins et les indigents.
                
                
                    ܘܐܬܩܛܥ ܩܕܝܫܐ ܠܬܠܬ ܡܢܘ̈ܢ. ܘܗܦܟ ܣܘܣܝܐ ܒܚܡܬܗ: ܘܡܚܝܗܝ ܠܡܠܟܐ: ܘܦܪܬܗܿ ܠܟܪܣܗ. ܘܟܠ ܕܚܙܐ ܫܒܚ ܠܡܪܢ: ܕܠܗ... ܐܡܝܢ.
                
                
                    Et le saint fut coupé en trois morceaux. Et le cheval se retourna dans sa colère et il frappa l’empereur et il lui ouvrit le ventre. Et tous ceux qui le virent glorifièrent notre Seigneur; à lui… Amen.
