"ܛܘܒܢܐ ܐܢܛܘܢܝܣ ܒܓܢܣܗ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܡܨܪܝܐ: ܡܢ ܛܘܗܡܐ ܕܒܢܝ̈ ܚܐܪ̈ܐ: ܘܐܝܟ ܕܒܐܝܬܝܐ ܡܪܐ ܥܒ̈ܕܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘ̣ܐ. ܐܒܗ̈ܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܝܬ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܠܗ ܡܗܝ̈ܡܢܐ: ܘܡܢ ܫܘܪܝܐ ܕܝܠܝܕܘܬܗ ܒܕܚܠܬ ܡܪܢ ܡܬܪܒܐ ܗܘ̣ܐ."1 "Le bienheureux Antoine était par sa famille Égyptien, d’extraction noble et, conformément à sa fortune, il possédait des esclaves.
