                    Cet illustre saint provenait donc de la région de Nicopolis et le nom de son village était Sîs. Il avait des parents croyants qui le firent baptiser quand il était encore petit.

                    Il mourut le deux du mois; il sortit de son couvent le 21 Éloul et entra dans la ville d’Antioche le 25 du mois, un vendredi. Il sortit un lundi et entra un vendredi, ce qui fait cinq jours, dans la joie et avec une grande et imposante pompe. Que sa mémoire soit une bénédiction.
