“ܡܟܝܠ ܢܘܕܥ ܘܢܚܘܐ ܫܘܪܝ ܫܘܥܒܕܗ ܕܥܡܢ ܘܦܘܪܫ ܡܪܕܘܬܐ ܕܚܫܝ̈ܢ ܕܡܢ ܐܝܟܐ ܐܩܦܬ.” 1
“Faisons donc connaître et montrons le début de la servitude de notre peuple, et expliquons où commença le châtiment de nos souffrances.” 1

“En l’an 117 du règne des Perses, qui est l’an 31 de Shahpour roi des rois, se produisit cet asservissement de notre peuple. Et en ce temps-là Simon, surnommé Bar-Sabba‘é, était évêque des villes de Séleucie et de Ctésiphon.” 1
