                    ܒܫܢܬܐ ܕܝܢ ܫܒܝܥܝܬܐ ܕܡܠܟܘܬܗ ܕܩܘܣܛܢܛܝܢܘܣ ܡܠܟܐ ܪܒܐ: ܒܝܪܚ ܟܢܘܢ ܐܚܪܝ: ܐܬܟܢܫܘ ܗܘ̣ܘ ܚܝ̈ܠܘܬܐ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܐ ܕܒܪܒܪ̈ܝܐ ܥܠ ܓܢܒ ܢܗܪܐ ܚܕ ܕܫܡܗ ܕܘܢܘܒܝܣ.
                
                
                    En la septième année du règne du grand empereur Constantin, au mois de Kanôn II, de nombreuses forces de barbares s’étaient rassemblées au bord d’un fleuve appelé Danube.
                
                
                    ܘܥܢܕܬ ܒܫܠܡܐ ܟܕ ܦܩܕܬ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܪܚܿܡܝܢ ܠܡܫܝܚܐ ܓܒܪ̈ܐ ܘܢܫ̈ܐ: ܕܢܥܒܕܘܢ ܕܘܟܪܢܐ ܕܡܪܝ ܨܠܝܒܐ ܒܬܠܬܥܣܪ ܒܐܝܠܘܠ... ܕܠܗ ܘܠܐܒܘܗܝ... ܐܡܝܢ.
                
                
                    Et elle s’en alla en paix après avoir ordonné que tous les hommes et toutes les femmes qui aimaient le Christ fissent mémoire de la sainte Croix le treize Éloul… Gloire à lui et à son Père… Amen.
