“ܒܫܢܬ ܐܪܒܥ ܕܪܕܘܦܝܐ ܕܒܝܘ̈ܡܬܢ: ܘܝܘܡܐ ܥܪܘܒܬܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܒܥܣܪܝܢ ܒܬܫܪܝ ܐܚܪܝ. ܘܒܗ ܒܗܢܐ ܝܘܡܐ ܡܟܣܝܡܝܢܘܣ ܪܫܐ ܕܛܪ̈ܘܢܐ ܠܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܩܣܪܝܐ ܐܬ̣ܐ ܗܘ̣ܐ: ܘܡܫܬܒܗܪ ܗܘ̣ܐ ܕܡܕܡ ܚܕܬ ܠܟܠܗܘܢ ܟܢܫ̈ܐ ܒܬܐܛܪܘܢ ܢܚܘܐ ܗܘ̣ܐ.” 1
“En la quatrième année de la persécution de nos jours, on était le vendredi 20 Teshrî II. Et en ce même jour le chef des tyrans Maximin vint à la ville de Césarée, et il se fit gloire de montrer quelque chose de nouveau à toutes les foules dans le théâtre.” 1

“Mais l’âme du bienheureux Agapios s’envolait dans l’air et elle alla au Royaume des cieux vers lequel elle se hâtait, et elle fut reçue avec les anges et les foules des martyrs. Telle fut la lutte glorieuse du vaillant Agapios.” 1
