“ܚܒܝ̈ܒܝ: ܙܕܩ ܠܢ ܕܢܣܬܟܠ ܒܡܕ̈ܥܐ ܕܪ̈ܥܝܢܝܢ ܠܘܝ̈ܐ: ܕܢܨ̈ܚܢܐ ܕܩ̈ܕܝܫܐ ܕܘܡܝܐ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܕܪܐܙ ܕܝ̈ܬܝܩܘܗܝ ܕܐܠܗܐ: ܕܡܬܝܕܥ ܕܡܢܘ ܚܝܠܐ ܕܥܒܘܕܘܬܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ.”1 1
“Mes bien-aimés, nous devons comprendre dans l’intelligence de nos esprits compagnons (?) que les triomphe des saints sont l’image du mystère des alliances de Dieu, par lesquelles se montre la puissance de la création de Dieu.”1 1

“Mais nous devons encore comme premier livre faire savoir l’origine de sa famille; saint Mâr Daniel était par sa famille du pays de Sâ‘ân qui est le pays de Thébaïde.”1 1

“Et les habitants de la ville se rassemblèrent contre lui et le lapidèrent sans pitié et il mourut et reçut la couronne de la victoire. Et les croyants l’enterrèrent avec grand honneur et ils le placèrent dans le temple du martyrium du côté droit, le 3 Hazîran. Que leur mémoire soit source de bénédiction et leur prière.”1 1
