“En l’an 306 après la venue de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ dans le monde, aux jours du règne de Maximien, lui qui était ami du péché et ami du fils de la perdition, alors que l’erreur possédait la race des hommes, ils sacrifiaient à des pierres et des bois sculptés par des mains d’hommes et se prosternaient devant eux comme devant Dieu.”

“Quinze évêques se rendirent au bourg de Résafa et construisirent dans le bourg un martyrium, et avec grande louange ils escortèrent le corps du saint et l’enterrèrent à la date où les martyrs avaient été couronnés, le sept Teshrî I. Et de nombreux signes et miracles furent accomplis là en ce jour, et aussi de nombreux personnes tourmentées furent guéries, par le secours du Christ, à qui… Amen.”
