“ܗܢܐ ܡܪܝ ܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܕܗܘ ܡܪܝ ܦܝܠܠܟܣܝܢܘܣ ܐܦܝܣܩܘܦܐ ܕܡܒܘܓ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܓܢܣܗ ܦܓܪܢܐ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܓܪ̈ܡܝ ܕܒܐܬܪܐ ܕܡܕܢܚܐ ܡܢ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܕܫܡܗܿ ܬܚܠ.” 1
“Ce Mâr Aksenayâ qui est Mâr Philoxène évêque de Mabbôg, ville de prêtres (Hiérapolis) était par sa famille corporelle du pays de Beyt Garmay en Orient, d’un village appelé Tahil.” 1

“Le chef des prêtres sortit, le prit et le cacha dans le temple de Mâr Abraham. Ce prêtre fut témoin de ceci: il vit une lumière sur la tombe de Mâr Philoxène. Que sa prière soit avec nous. Amen.” 1
