"ܗܢܐ ܡܪܝ ܐܟܣܢܝܐ ܕܗܘ ܡܪܝ ܦܝܠܠܟܣܝܢܘܣ ܐܦܝܣܩܘܦܐ ܕܡܒܘܓ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܕܟܗ̈ܢܐ ܕܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܒܓܢܣܗ ܦܓܪܢܐ ܡܢ ܐܬܪܐ ܕܒܝܬ ܓܪ̈ܡܝ ܕܒܐܬܪܐ ܕܡܕܢܚܐ ܡܢ ܩܪܝܬܐ ܕܫܡܗܿ ܬܚܠ."1 "Ce Mâr Aksenayâ qui est Mâr Philoxène évêque de Mabbôg, ville de prêtres (Hiérapolis) était par sa famille corporelle du pays de Beyt Garmay en Orient, d’un village appelé Tahil."1

"ܢܦܩ ܪܝܫ ܩܫܝ̈ܫܐ ܘܢܣܒܗ ܘܛܫܝܗ ܒܗܝܟܠܐ ܕܡܪܝ ܐܒܪܗܡ. ܘܐܣܗܕ ܥܠ ܗܠܝܢ ܗܘ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܕܚܙܐ ܠܢܗܝܪܐ ܥܠ ܫܟܝܢܬܐ ܕܡܪܝ ܦܝܠܠܟܣܝܢܘܣ. ܨܠܘܬܗ ܥܡܢ ܐܡܝܢ."1 "Le chef des prêtres sortit, le prit et le cacha dans le temple de Mâr Abraham. Ce prêtre fut témoin de ceci: il vit une lumière sur la tombe de Mâr Philoxène. Que sa prière soit avec nous. Amen."1
