It imitates the Greek text closely and provides variant readings using symbols and marginal notes modeled after Origen's Hexaplaric Septuagint. Multiple revisions included efforts to bring it into alignment with the Byzantine text and a 12th-century revision by Dionysios bar Salibi. Mark (Harqlean version) is extant in abundant manuscript witnesses, beginning in the 8th century. ܪܝܫܐ ܕܐܘܐܢܓܠܝܘܢ ܕܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ ܒܪܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ܈ Mark Comparative Edition of the Syriac Gospels: Aligning the Sinaiticus, Curetonianus, Peshîṭtâ and Ḥarklean Versions New Testament Tools and Studies Vatican, Vatican Libraries, Vat.
