"ܗܘ ܕܝܢ ܗܢܐ ܦܐܪܐ ܡܢ ܐܪ̈ܥܬܐ ܕܩܘܪܣ ܡܕܝܢܬܐ ܐܦܪܥ. ܒܗܿ ܓܝܪ ܐܦ ܐܬܝܠܕ ܐܦ ܐܬܪܒܝ ܘܥܘܬܪܐ ܡܝܬܪܐ ܕܢܙܝܪܘܬܐ ܟܢܫ."1 "Or donc ce fruit germa des terres de la ville de Cyr, car c’est là qu’il naquit, là aussi qu’il grandit, là qu’il amassa l’excellente richesse de la vie ascétique."1
