                    Le Verbe divin a décrété: «Il n’y a pas de plus grand que Jean parmi les enfants des hommes.» Comment donc offrir une couronne de paroles à celui qui a reçu du Seigneur un tel éloge?
                
                
                    ܗܿܘ ܡܿܢ ܓܝܪ ܐܡܪ: ܡܒܪܟ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܐܝܣܪܐܝܠ. ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܿܪ ܐܢܐ: ܡܒܪܟ ܗܘ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܠܗܐ ܕܟܪ̈ܝܣܛܝܢܐ. ܕܠܗ... ܐܡܝܢ.
