"Aux frères chers et croyants dans le monde entier, qui s’appliquent à la vertu, recherchent la parole de vie, qui adhèrent en tout temps à l’amour de Dieu et sont prisonniers de sa miséricorde, que la paix et la grâce soient avec vous de la part de Dieu notre Père et de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ."1 "ܠܐܚ̈ܝܢ ܚܒܝ̈ܒܐ ܘܡ̈ܗܝܡܢܐ ܕܒܟܠܗܿ ܬܒܝܠ̣. ܐܝܠܝܢ ܕܚܦܝܛܝܢ ܥܠ ܡܝܬܪܘܬܐ ܘܒܥܝܢ ܡܠܬܐ ܕܚ̈ܝܐ. ܘܒܟܠܙܒܢ ܠܚܘܒܗ ܕܐܠܗܐ ܢܩܝܦܝܢ. ܘܒܪܚܡܬܗ ܐܣܝܪܝܢ. ܫܠܡܐ ܘܛܝܒܘܬܐ ܥܡܟܘܢ̣. ܡܢ ܐܠܗܐ ܐܒܘܢ ܘܡܢ ܡܪܢ ܝܫܘܥ ܡܫܝܚܐ."1

"ܡܪܝܡ ܕܝܢ ܐܡܗ ܒܬܪ ܗܠܝܢ ܟܠܗܝܢ̣. ܒܟܪܝܘܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܩܿܝܡܐ ܗܘܬ. ܘܨܝܕ ܩܒܪܐ ܘܓܓܘܠܬܐ ܟܠܫܥ ܒܨܠܘܬܐ ܐܡܝܢܐ ܗܘܬ."1 "Quant à Marie sa Mère, après tout cela, elle se trouvait dans un grand chagrin et elle était constante dans la prière tout le temps près du tombeau et du Golgotha."1
