"Eusèbe de Césarée, quand il écrivait le texte de l’Histoire ecclésiastique a presque raconté les choses qui se trouvent dans les autres écrits. "ܣܝܠܝܒܝܣܛܪܘܣ ܗܟܝܠ ܒܛܠܝܘܬܗ ܠܩܘܪܝܢܘܣ ܩܫܝܫܐ ܡܫܡܫ ܗܘܐ. ܘܕܝܠܗ ܕܗܢܐ ܡܡܠܠܐ ܘܙ̈ܢܝܐ ܠܩܛ. ܘܝܨܝܦܘܬܐ ܚܦܝܛܐܝܬ ܕܝܠܗ ܡܡܠܐ ܗܘܐ."1 "Dans sa jeunesse Silvestre servait donc le prêtre Quirinus et il recueillit son éloquence et ses manières et il prenait soin de lui avec zèle."1
