"Une histoire très utile et profitable m’a rencontré et j’ai voulu la consigner par écrit pour l’utilité des auditeurs."1 "ܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܚܕܐ ܡܠܝܬ ܝܘܬܪ̈ܢܐ ܦܓܥܬ ܒܝ ܕܡܘܬܪܢܝܐ. ܘܨܒܝܬ ܠܡܪܫܡܗܿ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܝܘܬܪܢܐ ܕܫܡܘܥ̈ܐ."1

"ܓܒܪܐ ܠܡ ܚܕ ܪܒܐ ܝܕܝܥܐ ܡܢ ܡܠܟܘܬܐ. ܥܬܝܪܐ ܕܝܢ ܘܟܗܝܢܐ ܒܪ ܥܠܡܐ. ܡܫܒܚܐ ܕܝܢ ܘܡܩܠܣܐ ܒܗܘܦܟܘ̈ܗܝ ܐܝܬܘܗܝ ܗܘܐ. ܘܐܝܬ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ ܕܝܢ ܒܪܬܐ ܚܕܐ."1 "Il y avait un homme important, connu de l’Empire, laïc riche et prospère, digne de louange et d’éloge dans ses moeurs. Il avait une fille."1

Que ses prières soient sur le monde entier. Amen.
