                    ܕܚܠܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ ܗܘܬ ܡܛܠ ܐܝܪܘܕܝܣ ܡܠܟܐ ܘܥܠܬܐ ܕܡܦܩܬܗ ܕܦܛܪܝܪܟܐ ܘܡܬܐܝܬܐ ܕܝܠܗ ܗܘܬ ܕܚܙܐ ܓ̈ܠܝܢܐ ܪܘܪ̈ܒܐ ܘܫܡ̈ܝܢܐ.
                
                
                    Il y eut une grande crainte à cause du roi Hérode et la cause de la sortie et de la venue du patriarche fut qu’il vit de grandes manifestations célestes.
                
                
                    ܘܫܡܥܬ ܡܢ ܦܘܡܗ ܗܕܐ ܬܫܥܝܬܐ ܘܟܬܒܬܗܿ ܘܐܡܬܝ ܕܫܡܥܘ ܟܢ̈ܫܐ ܗܢܐ ܡܡܠܐ ܚܕܝܘ ܚܕܘܬܐ ܪܒܬܐ. ܬܠܘ ܩ̈ܠܝܟܘܢ ܘܡܫܒܚܝܢ ܠܐܠܗܐ ܒܩܠܐ ܪܡܐ ܘܥܫܝܢܐ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܠܬܠܝܬܝܘܬܐ ܩܕܝܫܬܐ ܐܒܐ... ܐܡܝܢ.
                
                
                    J’ai entendu cette histoire de sa bouche et je l’ai écrite. Quand les assemblées entendirent ce discours, elles se réjouirent grandement et élevèrent leurs voix, louant Dieu à voix haute et forte: «Gloire à la sainte Trinité, Père… Amen.»
