"ܥܠ ܗܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܡܬܢܐ ܗܘܐ ܗܘ ܪܒܢ ܟܕ ܠܐ ܐܘܕܥ ܫܡܗ ܗܟܢܐ."1 "Voici ce que racontait le Rabban sur cet homme sans en faire connaître le nom."1

"ܠܗܕܐ ܡܫܘܚܬܐ ܕܕܟܝܘܬ ܡܢܘܬܗܿ ܕܢܦܫܐ ܡܛܐ ܛܘܒܢܐ ܗܢܐ. ܘܐܬܝܗܒ ܠܗ ܕܐܝܟ ܗܢܐ ܫܘܠܛܢܐ: ܕܥܡܗܿ ܕܡܠܬܗ ܘܐܦ ܒܥܒܕܐ ܡܫܬܡܠܝܐ ܗܘܬ. ܗܿܘ ܕܠܡܢܨܚܢܗ ܫܘܒܚܐ ܘܥܠܝܢ ܪ̈ܚܡܘܗܝ ܢܫܬܦܥܘܢ ܐܡܝܢܐܝܬ. ܘܥܠ ܕܘܝܐ ܟܬܘܒܐ ܘܐܚ̈ܘܗܝ ܐܡܝܢ."1 "Ce bienheureux parvint à ce degré de pureté des facultés de l’âme et il lui avait été donné une telle puissance que ce qu’il disait s’accomplissait en même temps. Gloire à celui qui l’a fait triompher et sur nous se répande continuellement sa miséricorde, de même que sur le pauvre scribe et sur ses frères. Amen."1
