"ܟܕ ܓܝܪ ܐܬܚܛܦܘ ܣܓܝ̈ܐܐ ܡܢ ܓܙܪܐ ܕܟܪ̈ܣܛܝܢܐ. ܐܦܪܝܩܝܢܘܣ ܡܘܒܕܢܐ ܠܗܢܐ ܐܝܟ ܕܠܣܝܡܬܐ ܣܓܝܐܬ ܕܡ̈ܝܐ ܡܬܟܪܟ ܗܘܐ ܘܒܥܐ ܗܘܐ ܠܗ. ܥܡ ܪ̈ܚܡܘܗܝ ܘܒܢ̈ܝ ܓܢܣܗ. ܘܗܟܢܐ ܡܥܩܒ ܗܘܐ ܒܬܪ ܡܗܝܡܢܐ ܕܫܪܪܐ ܘܪܥܝܐ ܚܣܝܐ."1 "En effet, alors qu’une bonne partie du troupeau des chrétiens avait été prise, le meurtrier Africanus l’encerclait comme un trésor très précieux et il le cherchait avec ses amis et ses familiers et ainsi il recherchait le fidèle de la vérité et pasteur vénérable."1
