ܬܘ ܟܠܢ ܢܙܡܪ ܫܘܒܚܐ. ܠܐܠܗ ܟܠܐ ܒܕܘܟܪܢ ܣܗܕܐ. ܡܪܝ ܦܝܬܝܘܢ ܪܚܡܗ ܕܒܪܐ. ܕܡܛܠ ܚܘܒܗ ܐܬܟܠܠ ܗܘܐ. ܘܣܝܒܪ ܚܫ̈ܐ ܘܐܘ̈ܠܨܢܐ. ܘܐܒܗܬ ܘܐܚܦܪ ܠܕܚܠܬ ܡܓܘ̈ܫܐ. ܘܐܦܚ ܐܢܘܢ ܡܢ ܛܘܥܝܝ ܠܗܝܡܢܘܬܐ ܕܒܐܠܗܐ. 1
Venez, chantons tous gloire au Dieu de l’univers en mémoire du martyr Mâr Péthion, l’ami du Fils qu a été couronné par amour pour lui, qui a supporté épreuves et tourments, a confondu et couvert de honte la religion des mages et les a ??? de l’erreur à la foi en Dieu. 1

Seigneur, que la prière du martyr soit pour nous un avocat devant Dieu, au grand jour de l’épreuve, lui qui a reçu la couronne et dont la lampe brille; puissions-nous entrer avec lui dans la chambre de lumière avec ses vaillants codignitaires et puissions-nous chanter avec eux et célébrer la gloire qui convient à ta divinité, Père, Fils et Esprit Saint, pour les siècles des siècles. Amen et amen. 1
