Ce Mâr Isaac de Ninive était, par sa famille, du pays de Qatarâ en-dessous de l’Inde. 1

ܒܬܪܟܢ ܣܐܒ ܘܥܠ ܒܫܢܝ̈ܐ. ܘܫܢܝ ܠܘܬ ܡܪܢ. ܘܐܬܣܝܡ ܒܥܘܡܪܐ ܕܡܪܝ ܫܒܘܪ. ܨܠܘܬܗܿ ܕܝܠܕܬ ܐܠܗܐ ܡܪܝܡ ܘܕܝܠܗ ܕܐܒܘܢ ܘܕܟܠܗܘܢ ܩܕܝ̈ܫܐ ܥܡܢ ܐܡܝܢ. 1
Ensuite il vieillit et s’avança en âge et il partit vers notre Seigneur; et il fut placé dans le monastère de Mâr Shabour. Que la prière de la Mère de Dieu Marie, de notre Père et de tous les saints soit avec nous. Amen. 1
