Drangtse - [ Syriac Not Available ]

http://syriaca.org/place/4287
A settlement in Ladakh, on trans-Himalayan routes between Tibet, Kashmir, and Central Asia, near the Karakoram system. It occupied an important position in overland movement across high-altitude Inner Asian trade corridors. In the context of Syriac Christianity, Tangtse is notable for a Sogdian inscription and carved crosses dated to 825, evidence that Christian travelers or emissaries were active in this Himalayan contact zone beyond China proper.4
